Message from
the Director
Welcome to the Center for Leadership and Learning (CLL) website.
We are pleased you have an interest in learning more about the
CLL. The CLL continues to expand in students and in program development.
The CLL will be in its sixth year of operation in 2006 as part
of the School of Education at Arkansas Tech University.
The CLL programs for the preparation of school leaders for the
building principal, curriculum administrator and superintendent
received national recognition from the NCATE, Educational Leadership
Constituency Council in 2004. Each program was recognized at the
exemplary level. The School Counseling program received program approval during the School
of Education NCATE review in 2005.
We are pleased to announce the approval of the Master in Teaching,
Learning and Leadership as an avenue for an Arkansas Curriculum
Administrator's License. With the state and national emphasis on
student achievement through NCLB (No Child Left Behind), schools
are beginning to see the need for curriculum specialists. Enrollment
in this 38 hour degree program is available now. The
CLL faculty and staff are busy preparing for the spring 2006
and summer 2006 schedule
of classes for all programs. If you are interested in
joining new cohorts of students begin the journey, please let us know by going on-line to make
application to the graduate school or by contacting a program advisor
for more information.
For more information on the CLL programs, you can access the various
