What is CLL?
The Center for Leadership and Learning (CLL) is a venture of Arkansas
Tech University's School of Education. Housed in Crabaugh Hall,
the center's main emphasis is the preparation of school leaders.
The mission of the CLL is to prepare, through a Performance-based
system, school leadership teams, i.e. school administrators, school
counselors and master teachers, with the knowledge, skills, and
dispositions to work as a team to develop a school community to
ensure that all students will be actively engaged in learning.
The Center is unique in design by virtue of its degree programs
which embrace the "distributed leadership" concept.
In order for the CLL to meet its mission of developing school leaders,
students in all of the degree programs follow a program of study
that is sequential in content. Students in all of CLL's degree
programs are required to take a common leadership core. These
courses are scheduled concurrently and in an environment that
supports the delivery of content and performance in role-alike
groups and integrated teams.
How can I become a member of an upcoming CLL degree program?
In order to be admitted to a degree program, please apply online
to the school of graduate studies for admission.
